What are Some Savings Around the Home that You can Do
Save the earth from global warming due to the thinning ozone layer is not only problems Green Peace organization only. We can also help participate to preserve our environment. For example, by doing activities around the house to save energy. Below are some savings around the home that you can do:
1. Bath with shower.
Did you know, bath with shower can save water consumption. Suppose that each family consists of four people, then you can save as much as 280 gallons of water per month compared to using the bathtub.
2. Use energy saving bulbs.
We have had lots of energy saving lamps or so-called Compact Fluorescant Lightbulbs (CFLs). The price is slightly more expensive than ordinary light bulb, but its durability 10 times longer and spent electric load is also lower, so the more energy-efficient and less expensive your electricity bill. Other savings can be done by installing a timer to turn off automatically. So the lights will not illuminate when you have to go out of town for example.
3. Recycle trash.
Separate trash that can not be recycled and which can be recycled for household trash. If there is a used electronic goods that are not used, send it to a shelter used electronic goods. Furniture that is not suitable to be used, you can give to the thrift shop.
4. Set the temperature in the refrigerator.
Adjust the temperature of your refrigerator at the temperature corresponding to the needs of the household. Refrigerator temperatures generally range from 37 F (3 degrees Celsius), and in the freezer, the temperature range at -5 to 0 degrees Celsius.
